Show filtersFerryside - Daphne du Maurier's Cottage - Fowey - Cornwall - Limited Edition Print 2017 by Richard E Bennett
"Ferryside" stands on the North/East side of the busy Fowey Harbour near to the Bodinnick Ferry.
This imposing cottage on the River Fowey was where Daphne du Maurier was inspired to write her first memorable novel - "The Loving Spirit".
Many films have been made of her books - notably "Rebecca", "My Cousin Rachel", and "The Birds" by the master director Alfred Hitchcock
My Original watercolour ,which has white bodycolour highlights, was painted in 2014.
It depicts the view from across the river, with the sun clearing the mist.
